Halland is a region on the west coast of southern Sweden. The beautiful nature in the region offers something for everyone, from long sandy beaches in the south, to sun-bleached rocky outcrops in the north. Rolling fields are intertwined with mixed forest and enchanting inland lakes, and with a little luck one might see deer, moose or the somewhat shy wild boar in its natural habitat.
Many people visit Halland to play golf, go sailing or fish for trout and salmon. The Lagan, Nissan, Ätran and Viskan rivers run through Halland and provide the perfect setting for an enjoyable day's fishing or a lovely picnic by the river.
So it's no surprise that the inhabitants of Halland live longer than other Swedes and are among the healthiest people in the country.
